  1. No smell here. Really compliments an aftermarket exhaust. Have done the super-highflow mod on 3 mates cars this year
  2. Will post one with boost tomorrow.
  3. Tuner: Elite Mods: Process West stage II, Process West crossover + pod induction, Walbro, 968's, Di Filippo 3inch dump and full exhaust - rear muffler, valvesprings, NOS intercooler spraybar RWKW's: 340.9 @ 12lb What it is like to drive: Fun Problems: None
  4. But then you also have to factor in the fluid dynamics at each 'intersection.' Flow is heavily disrupted/slowed when it has to join to go through a single catalytic converter/muffler. Despite mass hysteria that a 'single 3-inch system won't flow much' the ute makes 340rwkw at only 12 lb utilising one. N.B One muffler and 'super high-flow' cat helps.
  5. Tim, Paul and crew; Thanks again for the work put in over the last few days in your already busy schedule. Managed to coax out 340.9 rwkw @ 12 lb with only one little problem... NEED TO CHANGE WASTEGATE SPRING!! More boost needed! Too bad it rained this afternoon, would have been great to run that 11. Next thursday! Adam.
  6. He said it gets up to 230 on the straight with a bit more if he wasn't a chicken. Have been in the car with him approaching an indicated 300
  7. The mate with the Blue m3 is the Australian dealer for Active Autowerke. If you want any info don't hesitate to PM and I will put you in touch.
  8. Mate at it again out at QR... strangely saving his tyres (at this stage) t5aHg_44a6w Now doing what he usually does. Another friend just had his (silver) smg m3 s/c too. A4EgucG6GQw
  9. Saw the ute down at Byron on Sunday. Was somewhat glad I wasn't in the ute, lined up and been spanked
  10. The car is a drag car... Dropping the transbrake on the street will result in a smokeshow like that no matter the car. I have a mate who's GTR make north of 800rwhp... it really deserves its plates... I WIN
  11. Yeh I would tend to agree, but the way the car is set up, it really doesn't make boost, hence power, till quite late in the rev range. And as I said before, it really does struggle for torque without gas. That's centrifugal supercharging on a low capacity motor though I guess. It will be running in another dyno comp this weekend, so will be able to get another figure there. Poor car... it has done circa 100 laps of QR, 40 odd 1/4 mile runs, well over 150 dyno pulls, and it's still holding together like a brand new NA m3. Not to mention the workout it cops on the street! Really have to hand it to BWM engineering, 11.5:1 CR + FI + nitrous + abuse should really spell disaster!
  12. He apparently made 502 rwhp the previous afternoon on a new tune without gas (all c16 though.) He said something about it being a 'corrected' figure though... The thing is an animal on the street, but really lacks in torque without the nitrous. The ute made 310rwkw that afternoon on the Elite dyno with 10 litres of c16. (un-adjusted 306rwkw map) Ran PB et's and mph on the night. Best et was 12.25 and best mph was 117.
  13. The ute shows up a few times in a vid made mainly for my mate with the m3 a few weeks back. qhu5d4bhjUk (how funny are the two comments there lol)

    I was being facetious.

Even at 90lb/min or 41kg per minute, a huge 680 grams per second (weight of air) of air is forced at back past the compressor WOW what an unbelievable force of air !!!! That is assuming 900bhp worth of air flow on an instantaneous closed throttle situation going back past the compressor wheel, what amazing thrust loading ! No wonder thrust bearing wear out and compressor wheel snap off due to the massive accelerations involved on a closed throttle as it pulses back down to 0 pressure. This is instantaneous load to, this quickly diminishes as the turbo slows down very very fast, within 0.5 second it will be hard pressed to deliver half of this flow amount. The loads are small the accelerations due to the WG fluttering are small, these factors are insignificant and are not worth worrying about.

    Thanks Elite!

Had thoughts on this too, but the utes 306 rwkw puts down consistent 115mph (as high as 116.8 IIRC...) so the power is definitely there. Enjoy the car Luke.
  17. How come all of the ute's runs have been in 3rd?
  18. You sure you didn't try our trick Paul? ha ha. See you back out Wednesday night?
  19. Should hopefully be out there with a few other lads
