  1. Achieved a new figure today after some work was done to the car and all day was spent tuning. Many thanks to Paul, Tim and the rest of the boys for the hard work put into the ute today. 370 kw daily and 406 race tune See you in a month with that bigger intercooler
  2. HAHHA well there you go hey... I was the only member online.. admin needs to advertise this line chat room
  3. When is this website going to have a online live chat page so we can all talk in a chat room? Waiting for replys and for members to come online is frustrating. Whos the admin user who maybe able to sort this out for the members..
  4. Hot side kit has been installed, 044 on order. Looking good. 18 lb should go hard
  5. Car is a bf zf ute. Has seen 340rwkw before plenum, 4 inch intake, wastegate mods, .7 front cover,60lb injectors and new exhaust.
  6. Anything is possible. 6 speed Supras are now running into the 7's.
  7. Swear by advan sport v103s. The only street tyres that hook up on the ute. Exy, but well worth the investment.
  8. Just measured up the ID of both a Process West plenum intake channel and SS Inductions TB I have sitting here and both were 72/73 mm. Unsure of the ID of standard (think it is indeed a bit smaller), but as said above, matching the piping will aid in dynamic flow. Spool and available air at WOT are the obvious advantages.
  9. Correct. Got 200L at work ready for a big tune when the rest of the gear is installed on the ute

    Dba 4000 Rotors

They lasted for one trackday at QR, but split the following week. Heat and weight just proved to be too much I guess. Still seemed to pull up well and lift the rear. Much, much better now though. How good is the unburnt fuel on the gear change!? Straight through exhaust bar one muffler helps

    Dba 4000 Rotors

Had 4000's all round (drilled and slotted on the fronts) with ferodos and f*cked both rotors and pads in no time. Cracks throughout all the holes. Ferodos were far too soft. Now run 4000 golds slotted with ebc yellows on the front and reds on the back. Much better combination. Yellows do need to be kept warm though for optimum performance.
  12. The 70 ces short shaft is a factory made race-spec motor out of South Africa for races such as the Trans Agulhas. I'd hazard a guess at saying that there would be no more than 50 originals or so floating around world-wide. It's a pretty serious bit of kit, be fair to say it'd have 50% again more power than your normal standard leg 70 Yamaha. It spins the 18p without a worry in the world, no bog into corners, the torque of the thing in comparison to the 50 hp motors can't be compared. The motor was bought off an ex racer from SA who had it on a rib running a a reduced custom gear-set. WHich comes in handy as you've noted when needed to spin such a big prop. Have already had the 24p on the 50 (race sealed) and spun that to 6200 @ ~95 from memory. Lots of fun!
  13. Just under 7100 rpm. Still working on height off the deck and trim. A guy in the states custom makes a hybrid 70 and pulls 7500 rpm with 20p cleaver @ 123 km/h!
  14. Ease up. If you didn't like it, keep your comments to yourself. For those that care, the motor (70 hp CES Yamaha) is one of only 2/3 in the country, and testing at the moment has seen 110 km/h with an 18p cleaver. When the 24p prop is put on we're hoping to see over 12o km/h. Lots of fun for something that has <150kg total weight.
  15. Pretty confident hiddeous was being facetious.... Congrats Paul.
  16. Utes don't use Cv's, the driveline utilises a live rear axel. You noise will typically be associated to the diff, but more hopefully... just a wheel bearing.
  17. Yeah was a great day out there. Plenty of Porkas out there. This one was a race prepped 993 gt3 that arrived behind a cayenne turbo
  18. Short run coming onto the straight from last friday at QR
  19. Hi Guys, My mates Ford GT-P BF was stolen last night from his bouse at Broadbeach. The images of the car are attached. Any help would be great if you hear or see the car out there. Its insured, though has has alot of money and time spent on it. Would rather the car back.
  20. Yeh he goes through tires like they are going out of fashion. A very expensive hobby! Here's a few runs on a private road on the way home with a mates 32 and the ute. KooKg1hd4ZE
  21. Well we all headed out on Wednesday to Willowbank after 5 successive weeks of rain and suffice to say, we were rather eager to run some good time. Unfortunately the ute didn't perform to it's ability, but my mate with the s/c ran a new pb. 11.8 @ 122 _W4kTlq04BM Will be looking on improving that on his gas map. Apparently worlds fastest s/c e46 m3 now.
