  1. I have a wog cooler and have fitted a BF GT front bar and the intercooler now stands out like like a sore thumb. It looks very cool but I am after a sleeper as I drive the thing hard most of the time and would not like to attract too much attention. What is the best paint to use, Ive been told to use some etching paint , but then someone else told me there is no such thing. I'm confused, does anyone know what to use?
  2. I had a problem with tps, the light was comming on sometimes. It ended up being the pedal assembly. Total job came to $950 becaust the tps has 2 parts, (engine bay and pedal, along with cables etc) I had everything changed.

  4. I am a current owner of a 309 rwkw BA ute with a 4 speed auto. I decided to test out a F6 with the ZF 6 speed to see what all the hype is about. At first I noticed that it is a little punchier off the line but nothing to boast about. The biggest difference was that it is zippier as boost comes on earlier than the 4 speed (around 30 km/h as apposed to 40 km/h) I was very disappointed with the shifts. It felt like a slow changing manual, it took all the fun out of using the manual shift. It just doesn't RIP into gears. I hope the edit fixes this? Overall I agree its a great gearbox but I don't think that its worth the $12K upgrade price yet. Because the turbo six has loads of torque down low, performance is not a huge improvement, but it is snappier.

  6. more gears to choose but also more gears to shift. If it was an NA engine I would say ZF hands down at rolling speeds as well, but because of the wide torque range of the turbo, the 4 speed plays with it well and allows each stretch of gear to perform at its best.
  7. Lately I have been noting the temperature outside to how my T performs. Obviously the hotter the weather the more the turbo looses its performance but what is everyone else noticing. I have also found that High humidity days also effect the performance. Anything under 20 degrees brings boost on hard @ 2000rpm and spins the wheels easily. I have BA 4 speed auto 309rwkw. On very hot days I have noticed a lot of lag. I think that the higher revs are not so effected but more the low end boost disappears with anything over 25 degrees and 50% humidity Can some of you share what you have noticed with weather and performance?

  9. Just wondering by how much is the BF auto 6 speed quicker to 60km/h than the BA, (without stalling up at all) I noticed that the BF 1st gear goes to 65 and the ba goes to 80. So in saying that would I be correct to say that they would be close from 0-80 km/h?? Has anyone timed 0-60 kmh???
  10. On my XR6T I have auto window up when arming and I can put the windows down a crack or all the way down while armed as well. I also have remote car start. It is not hard to do this you just need the right equipment and installer who knows what their doing.

  12. Is it ok to cross the line in overdrive? If I put 4.1 gears in I will be crossing in 4th gear. does this mean that with 4.1 gears I will be slower than with standard 3.45 gears I have 309 rwkw BA 4 speed auto
  13. I have done some calculations and although most people are saying that If I put 4.1 gears in my 4 speed auto BA that it will be too short and the turbo wont load properly. I have worked out that with 4.1 gears I will have similar max speed in each gear as the ZF. I know I will lose highway economy. Around 67 in first and 114 in second where at the moment with the 4 speed it is 82 in first and 132 in second. I feel second is too tall to have fun with. What does anyone else think of this?
