phantom xr6t

I have a stock 03 xr6 turbo with 4spd auto and I get around 12-14 ltr to 100km from it cruising. I can go from home to townsville, a nearly 400km trip with some overtaking along the way and only use half a tank.

I was given a boost gauge the other day, I plumbed it into that pipe with a tee piece and it works great, shows vac and boost.

I got the DBA slotted kangaroo paw rotors front and rear on my Ba turbo, Made the brakes a lot better.

I'm getting som 504 slotted front and 505 slotted rears, they are aroung $115 each for the front and $130 each for rears

when I was working in townsville in Jan my temp run just under the half way mark all the time, when I moved back to the tablelands in atherton it runs just over the 1/4 mark, didnt notice much of a power drop that I can remember and it was very hot then.

My 03 turbo doees the same thing with only 52000k's on it. it's going to ford next thursday and see what they say about it.

no the SSS mode works ok, it only does it after an hour of more continuous running on a long trip, seems mayby the trans is getting hotter than normal mayby, The temps around townsville where I'm driving are pretty warm and humid and the engine temp runs just under half way here and just over quarter in atherton where I normaly live.

Hmm just what I did not want to hear really, guess I will have to talk to a auto trans guy I know and see what he says. Thanks guys

I have an 03 xr6 turbo with 4 speed auto, done 67000kms, not flashed or anything, it will only do it on a long trip (it has done it 3 times on a trip to townsville from atherton which is a four hour trip). cruising at 100 k's, go to overtake someone slower and the trans starts to kickdown gears and then it is like something is slipping( no shuddering just no power) and then a big thud as it grips up and keeps going without any probs. The trans has been serviced last year and I dont have the trans fluid in the radiator problem that I have heard about in this fourm. any ideas?

I used the directions posted and got mine to fit first time, all the measurements are spot on.

I was checking under the hood after a 4 hr trip and noticed a plug under the ECU just hanging down.It has a larger red wire and a small green wire in it and the plug is gray with a red centre, the part of the loom it comes out of also has 2 wires that go to an earth pop riveted between the ecu and the air box. Should this be pluged into the ECU somewhere?. car is a 03 xr6 turbo, 4spd auto, standard tune as I dont have an edit yet and runs ok, just seems strange to have this plug just floating around with out a cover on it or pluged into somthing. Sorry I dont have a photo of it, I might be able to get one later if needed.

Just bought a snorkle this week, asked for a bf turbo one, the part number I was given is BAF9C676B cost $96. Gona fit it over the chrissie break.

I have seen the new V Power fuel at shell that is 100 ron with 5% ethnol in it, can I use it in a stock ba xr6 turbo or will it damage something.
