sounds like the old cable has broken off the linkage in the box problem, either new cable time or you can modify the old link to fix the problem forever

spilled coffee over my new phone and laptop 2 weeks ago, phone promptly chucked a spack attack and started buzzing, had to put it a another room in rice to let battery discharge(battery is integrated, cannot remove easily). got the sh*ts and left it. laptop survived. tonight managed to strip it and give it a bit of a clean and it is now charging normally. if it works it will be a post in the WMYFGT

Removal Of Old Oil Filter In The Turbo Line
phantom xr6t replied to Venessa's topic in Engine Workshop
it is inside the fitting that screws into the block, un screw it and it is held in by a circlip -
loosing coolant wont be a tune issue, get the radiator pressure tested. as for the boost problems could be any number of things, start by changing fuel and air filters, are the coils ok and are the spark plugs in good condition and gapped right for higher boost (around .7-.. check for leaking hoses do the boost solenoid maintenance ( do a search in the forum), checked for error codes

Raspy Exhaust And Rattling/ Ticking On Trailing Throttle

crawl under and hit the cat with your fist, if it rattles then the substrait is loose and possibly causing you problems -
go 4 stroke brendo, mine starts first pull, even after sitting for months unused

Gunna, a manual trans on a sedan will break the cv's on the drive shafts and maybe the diff hat, but you have a ute and a solid diff so all you would break maybe is the spline on the shaft to the wheel, but you have already upgraded most of the breakables

Brake Shudder - On The Hunt For The Problem. Over Heated Brake Fluid?
phantom xr6t replied to masda74's topic in Brakes
my brake fluid looked like that so I flushed the system myself with new fluid and when I checked it about 3 weeks later it looked just as bad as before I changed it. I have flushed the system 4 times and then I put new seals in all the callipers and now seems ok- 143 replies

Turbosmart Actuators Are Rubbish ?
phantom xr6t replied to genuine honest person's topic in Turbo Workshop
I'm running those nizpro factory modded injectors that my first tuner fitted and they are running ok with 300rwkw, the nizpro springs that were fitted went soft after six months and I have recently changed the waste gate actuator the the first guy fitted ( a 15 psi unit) back to a 12 psi unit, so the only thing fitted now is those nizpro injectors that cpv tuned it with . touch wood they are still going strong... -
Turbosmart Actuators Are Rubbish ?
phantom xr6t replied to genuine honest person's topic in Turbo Workshop
I feel for you mate, my first tuner destroyed my btr trans, found out later it was slipping on the dyno and the boss just told him to keep winding up the line pressures. It failed the day after I got it home and it ran like a S*(&*(T heap when cold. that's when I bit the bullet after rebuilding the trans and drove 8 hrs to mackay to get CPV to tune it. When he asked why not get the local gut to do it, so I told him what happened and said I just want the tune to look after the trans. Got it back with 300kw and it goes like a cut cat on the 95 tune as well as the 98 tune
