alright. finally. so hard to get parts and people who know how to tune these things over here. once I get my car going good I would be keen to do a race day at taupo or something. I have always wanted to add this to 1 of these-

I had been told that I will have to get it edited now, as I had planed, but just after I took it out I got slaped with a $12,000 GST bill so was hoping somebody out there might know a tempery fix. O well. Looks like I will just have to work harder and earn some more money. cheers.

I just had my cat taken out and it seems that it is now not opening the waste gate. I was doing this in prep before upgrading, computor edit etc, but dont want to do that right now as I dont have the money right now. does anybody know a cheap and quick fix please.

Yeah. sorry to be a bit vague. The last car I did up was a V6 gt Capri and that didnt have all these computors. I have the 4 speed auto and have been told that I should get an edit on the transmiton. apparenty a similer job to giving the engine an edit. I cant see how this is going to benifit the car, but I am a novice to all this tech stuff. I was told that the flash drive is the box you plug into the computor so can give it a custom edit. Awsome to be able to get advise before I spend all that money. thank you. everything seems to be so much more expensive over here and harder to find.

I am going in next month for bigger injectors, flash drive, and edit. To go along with this I am thinging about a tranz edit. I would like to hear from anybody who has done this to find out what the benifits are, down falls, and what it does to driveability etc. Is it worth it? Please help me.

I wouldnt recommend it for your first car. Taking your missus out will cost you a fortune in gas if you can afford it after you pay your finance. Then WHEN you crash it, and you will, you wont be able to fix it as your insurace WILL find a way not to pay. You can get quite quick 1600's now that handle just as well and do stop better. And they are a LOT cheaper to run and maintain. Up to you, that is just my opinion.
