  1. Is it just me, or if you are buying a motor so you don't break your current motor, you might as well go full send on your current motor? If it breaks, then buy a motor like you were already planning... If it doesn't break, then happy days... 'Weak' is relative to the later Barras - you can still have a turbo Barra motor at 280-300 and if it is well tuned and maintenance kept up there's no reason why it won't be a fun, reliable street car.

  2. Car has been going great. Currently eyeing out some 9 inch wide steelies and have some Federals waiting for me for when that happens. Dynamic have nil stock and no eta on when they will have more so I'm ringing around to see if anyone has anything kicking about. In other news, hub cap theft is on the rise in my area. Seriously though, who knocks off a fricken hub cap? I've got another set of 4 from a Ford Kuga coming and will cable tie them on for extra security haha

  7. Hey man you guys have been so helpful really appreciate it, coming from a lexus forum (I have a 2002 gs300 aswell) everyone over here seems so much more helpful! Ye I have another xr6 but N/A and that's got a built btr 4 spd seems nice and tight. So keith just gave me 2 options now (thanks) which one should I go for that is easier? (I know this might be a really silly question but ill ask anyway,the exhaust system on my N/A sounds really nice would I be able to put that on my turbo lol I know I am gonna get hammered for this lol. @Puffwagon done brooo, its vixen read so that's another 100hp and ill add some mcm stickers ill easily get to 300kw with a stock engine lol

  9. +1 on Keith's suggestion for dose tbh don't wanna sound negative (I only say it bcoz I want to be honest) a 250thousand kilometre old btr isn't gonna like any more power over what you have now and will likely sh*t it self at 300rwkw very quickly

  10. Got a budget? Ultimate budget for bang package. eBay 500x400x90 cooler eBay coldside piping kit. Custom intake pipe (3-4" 45deg silicone, 4" 45 deg ally pipe and pod filter) Port wastgate and 12psi actuator. 4" dump and hi flow cat. 1000cc injectors, Walbro 460 fuel pump and run it on E85 to save the rods. Will make 300kw easy, or could lean on it to 350-400. This will turn your 4sp to scrap metal pretty quick. Right ready for a 6sp manual conversion. Plus you will need a set of coils, and spark plugs, and valve springs, and whatever timing chain/guides are broken when you take the front timing cover off. Then turn turbo will probably sh*t itself.

  11. Ordered me a wideband sensor so should have that sorted by next weekend. Really couldn't be farked doing much this weekend so just went and picked up a 5 inch pipe for me intake, a dash12 weld on for the intake pipe to suck the catch can off and a couple of dash10 fittings for the rocker cover. Pulled the finger out and after a few beers decided to sort out the FG rocker cover. Cut off the thing, pulled out the rubbermajiggy and welded both fittings to it for the catch can to attach to. Farken forgot how to weld but fortunately remembered halfway through so got it done. Cleanliness is next to weldliness or something. I would fit it all this arvy except I forgot my dial gauge again so will swap the rocker cover, wire in the FG coil plugs and do the cam timing next weekend.

  13. I started a new job back on Monday last week. Decent position in terms of pay, and went into it filling a hole left by some campaigner from a few weeks back who was clearly fairly incompetent as I'm still fixing his mistakes (and earning instant respect in the process) instead of doing the 2 weeks of induction/training haha
