  1. Picked up a radiator 32mm variation, fresh hoses and the coolant bottle. The black one was giving me the sh*ts. Just about to head out and see how it goes.

  2. if you've bypassed the solenoid and you're making 16psi you won't be able to go under 16psi without changing the actuator or it's pre-load settings.

  3. Got tyres fitted to the 17x10s, 275/40s and they look huge! Still waiting for the diff the be built, so hopefully not long and I can trial fit it all back up.

  4. Yea my solenoid was only 12 months old as well. Put it on the dyno was over boosting badly. The turbo smart actuator is better but a pain to set up

  5. Just pulled the trigger on the Kelford 218-C cams and a set of Atomic vernier gears. Will be interesting to see the difference it make on the dyno. Eventually there will be a high stall converter added to the mix so that should enable decent launches again.

  6. Cheers guys. I'll port the head before putting it back together. I've been procrastinating lately but I'll get it sorted. In regard to custom cams, I've left it too late for that but will certainly go that route down the track when I go solid etc. It started as a 1000 crank hp build but now I think I'll take it further, which is why I don't mind building a foundation for a while.

  8. Sorry wouldn't let me add I would think about a custom cam and have a chat with some of the aussie companies or suppliers about its purpose. In most big V8 builds NA etc you won't usually see a off the shelf cam used. That's just my 2c

  9. I know first hand of a recent 1500rwhp build that had to go back to a smaller cam to make the power, from what I know it basically had the biggest barra cam in there to begin with (stage 4 etc). Just like a NA cam you have to think about port velocity, is the head ported etc can it actually use the extra flow and not hurt velocity. Turbo's engines don't need really big big cams to make the power as we know. Bigger the cam the more boost and more rpm you will need just to get it off its arse.
