  1. Today I was given good news from two different sources! Firstly I am possibly allowed to return to work once I get my special skills exemption from the government. Which allows me to travel interstate without the need to self isolate for the standard 14 days. And the other, but even better news came from my machinist at Pryce racing engines. Letting me know that my custom order pistons from CP in the states have arrived. So now the crank is machined, the rods have been modified to suit the oversized chromoly wrist pins that were made up for the new pistons, the block had been line honed with the stud kit and girdle fitted, the head is almost completed with 3 angle valve job and mild flow work and blueprinting of all volumes etc. All that has to be done is to bore and deck the block and wrap it all up for me to bring home and begin assembly 😁😊😁 Yay Can't wait to start this part, will post some pics as I go.

  4. Yep MTQ was about $200 delivered. Ask about the spring pressure, but should be the FG one you are after.

  5. Couldn't find them online much. Rang these guys and did it over the phone https://www.mtqes.com.au/mtq-sydney-branch

  6. Yes, only difference is the spring pressure. The preload is preset and is not adjustable, so is a straight bolt in. Couldn't really find them online but rang MTQ in Sydney and it was on my doorstep in Canberra in less than 24 hours

  7. Definitely grab a genuine Garrett 8psi actuator for that bad boy. Mines been running for a couple of years now at 315rwkw's on 14.5psi flawlessly so if your goals around 320ish it will be perfect for it. Plus you can copy the preload setting of your old one for the new actuator. Also I like the Fairmont ghia grill, very swish. Uber classy

  8. Try the PCMTEC or Haltech forums too. On The PCMTEC one at least, there are plenty of other pros, hobbyists and DIYers who are generous enough to give others advice as to whether or not you are in the ballpark or sometimes you even see people share their maps. Obviously you need to make sure whoever you are listening to knows their stuff. If you read heaps and take a safety first, incremental approach to making changes you'll get there.
