Huge blast today
Quick vid of some of the run from today
This one starts with it raining where the wipers are maxed out - vid doesn't reflect that - it was pissing down at the start of the run - it gets worse towards the end
Queenstown has it's own climate - was blue skies at the other side of the valley
Speed and water is a lot stronger than it looks on the vid.
20 points for picking the music playing when I decide to play "catch up"
Some photos one of the participants took today with their phone, fully zooomed in and then further quality reduced by facebook, but at least it still shows the fun! 😄
even though I recently put the leather seats in kermit, I think I'm going to have to get rid of them and replace them with some proper race seats as well as strip down the interior... it just looks so good fanging around a race track hehe
Kermit after today's autocross. Was an absolute ripper of a day, managed to not bin it. rear wheels are cleaner because I use standard 17s on the rear when racing. It was fun driving home the amount of looks I got because of how filthy it was, especially from 4WD guys - I was dirtier than most of them lol - the guy at the car wash was like "well that's gonna give the machine a workout" haha
THE quality fit and finish of our hyundai I find is bloody good compared to anything ford or Expensive Daewoo import now days.
at least inside the guards are painted...hey ford im looking at you lel
yeah, I will update it. I don't have a macOS setup at the moment to re-do that bit, so I'll probably setup a hackintosh virtual machine at some point and do that...
Yeah so your logic is flawed as keif says...
they dont feel like they’re boosted... they just feel like a fast 8...
and they dont sound like a tough 8 coz the charger takes away from the nice throaty v8 sound of a decent v8.
Theyre alright... but average at best.
Turbo ftw
@jeturbo is bizkets still around here? Or did he sell up?
I had one kicking about in my car at powercruise. The passengers would hold it and were in charge if something went wrong.
got my first autocross tomorrow in Pakenham. It's a dirt track with mostly tight corners but an ace big continuing 180 sweeper toward the end that my goal is to maintain a solid drift through the whole sweeper by the end of the day... without binning it. Here's hoping my rush job fire extinguisher mount passes scrutiny as well as my old tires which must be getting borderline for tread depth lol.
gonna be a lot of fun!
Thanks Keith - I jumped back and redid them and added some more photos this morning.
I'll fix this one later but so you all can be in the moment with us
