  1. Wow... Ok, 1st you got way bigger problems than the powder coating melting if your coolant is hitting 200 degrees, particularly if its that temp in the overflow!! 2nd, What the fark kind of dick head thing to say was "XF, AU, BA are thingd of the past dribble dribble" Gianna you farking tossa. Is he dissing his own product saying its a thing of the past? As just Jet said good marketing is good.... I said to you a while back once this has been on the road for a bit you will get bored and that built donk will end up with a big turbo.... you know it. Just run what you got and when ot breaks throw it at the karnts head and tell him that's just all a thing of the past now your head will be right if you can replace it with a more efficient less farked model.... /end

  11. Ahhh... the paint is I <3 Bananased on the rear pillars. Looks like rust near the strut towers. Its a BA I had a BA Xr6 for sale recently that looked awesome in the pics but in person it was rough as. So be prepared to be shocked by that one. Especially being black. Also the chances of it having a full service history are slim. Having said all that, if you don't plan on going crazy with power mods it's not so bad for the price. I wouldn't be paying $4k for it though. If you haven't driven any before it's probably worth a look anyway just to get a gauge on what they're like. I drove a Mk11 BA turbo that had a $10k sticker on it that wasn't worth $4k so you never know your luck.

  12. holy crap... $100 for mazda 3 plugs... that's a massive rip off even if they are the right plugs... surprising that an old trusted mechanic would do that to you...

  13. Fires can suck a fat one. When the Pinery fire came through I was at home with my 3 (now 4) kids. The missus was at work, half an hour away. I made the call to leave my house when the recommendation came to evacuate. I attached my trailer, put the kids in the car and thoroughly messed up my house packing irreplaceable things and also some clothes. We lost power for 3 days so had to stay in a motel for that time and didn't get phone reception back for about a week. As it turned out, the fire missed our house by about 1km. The smoke made it seem like it was a lot closer. It was not a fun time that's for sure.

  14. 400kw is still heaps of power, you'll have a nice solid 400kw and frankly things should last alright. that being said, hopefully the tuner can work something out with the turbo config. I hope you put heaps of ks on this build man. then it will be worthwhile.

  15. Next year I will get a new ss for the misses and that will do me fine . People all over Australia have have send me e mails with there horror stories of car builds , I am not the only one .lot of them give up way before me . I am still fighting at the moment .400 rwkw is enough for me. It was certainly a eye opener this build how to get taken for a ride .

  18. Paint's fckd... Peeling clear coat on guard, hazy patches on bonnet. Both would be from the respray back in 08 . Have let it go for too long and now it's really bugging me. Probably easiest to buy secondhand but would look better if I got them painted. Either way not in time for the drive today.

  22. Double heads up the GTX gen2 3576R is good for 750hp/560kw and we all know how conservative Garrett are with their ratings so bring on 500rwkw on a 76 !!!

  23. ^bugger I did hate Telstra with a passion, tried other isp's for a few years, then eventually went back to them mainly for their mobile coverage. This year has finally been a win for me with them. Changed my foxtel account to them, used to pay $65 a month for standard deff entertainment+sport. Now pay $55 per month for High Deff + record-able box, entertainment +sport HD Also used to pay $44 per month for mobile, 1 GB data + unlimited calls & sms & mms. Now pay $40 per month for 7 GD data + $1000 calls + unlimited sms & mms.

  25. Got some spare time so heres some more pics from last night. It was a priveledge to see this stuff and then have beers and talk cars and racing with the workshop crew as well. They seemed to like my ute too. Mad Max car has got all the right gear inside and out, all the way down to a little photo of Max's wife and kid on the horn button on the steering wheel and the radio box on the roof. Super cool. Glass bodied 34 Tudor only recently completed with SBC and 6spd auto. Spotto one Blown 57 Chev with tones of custom made carbon fibre gear, airbags and everything else. And a proper bathurst Monaro. Absolutely perfect AP5 or AP6, complete with original purchase receipt in the glovebox. Unrestored. The workshop. Hq GTS being worked on by one of the guys who helped build the XBoss. Sandman Van on one hoist and the Impala on the other. They've got an engine dyno coming too. I couldn't believe the detail these guys are going to on these restos.

  27. I spent a few hours having beers in a factory unit in wangarra last night with this collection. All genuine cars including a 2dr and 4dr A9X, E49 Charger and a mad max car complete wirh fake blower built for the last movie but not used. The next door unit is a workshop with some incredibly skilled guys that do all their restos and the odd other customer car. Currently restoring a HQ GTS a 253 Sandman van and building a TT LSX Impala with Motec and reaching for 1000hp as well as building the most rediculous 2 dr pillarless 57 chev with blown chev and paddle shifters. Owned by brothers who are in property development, plant hire and other stuff. A great bunch of guys and the brother I met was an absolute top bloke.

  28. You need to reset the switch. Depress the pedal fully and grab pull the plunger out (it will ratchet out then stop) release the pedal and it will reset the at rest position for the pedal on the switch

  29. Yep, clutch pedal switch on the top of the clutch pedal needs to be engaged at the top of the clutch pedal travel, so that the system knows that the clutch pedal is not being pressed to be able to engage the cruise control
