Look like a rediculous set of bunny ears. And they don't rotate with the wheel. So can't use them mid corner. Probably the most rediculous thing I've seen for a falcon yet.3 points

I have recorded data from several cars, so what other shops do is there business, many shops just look at afr and power and have no idea about how the system is performing. I don't need to ask them anything, I asked you if you had data to back up your statement or was it just internet claims3 points

I will tackle the design of a WTA intercooler system as a puzzle solving exercise, but it will probably be a long time before I am in a position to actually implement it.2 points

I've been searching to find specs on the ba , bf , and fg turbo . From my search it seems ba bf are the same and fg is said to be a smaller turbo by some . Others say the turbines are the same on all 3. comp 61.4-82 trim56 turb 68-84 It seems that the ba is comp .7 ar and turbine 1.06 ar and the fg is comp .5 ar and 1.06 turbine. So from all my searching I think they are both the same turbo but the fg just has the smaller ar on the compressor. Any help on exact specs appreciated as I have found so much conflicting info.1 point

Hi All. I am a fairly new member to the Forum and thought I would share what I drive with you. My G6E Turbo, I inherited from my brother last year and have carried out further modifications to achieve his dream of reaching low 11sec runs over the quarter. With assistance from Real Dyno Performance, 430rwkw and 920NM of torque running BP98 were achieved. At Willowbank Raceway, after some practice getting off the line, a time of 11.08sec @ 125.71mph was posted. The car is a joy to drive but care is required with the right foot.1 point

You drink, THEN take a ride in passenger seat. Edit - WHAT? open booze in a car is fine in SA??? Holy sh*t. Drivers get demerits even if it's just the passenger with it open over here in WA. I agree on having a ride in your own car from the passenger seat. When your body doesn't know to expect the torque rush in the XR6Ts, it's good fun all over again. I assume the corners were the fun bit in the BRZ though1 point

They look lame , and I need all 10 fingers so I wont be using those.1 point

Being passenger in my car and having a few drinks Being passenger makes u appreciate how freaking awesome your own car is! If I wasn't a few down I'd be demnding control of the wheel again lol <3 brz Ps. Butt plug goes alright too hahah1 point

PWR unit for me also. I think the whole closer to operating temps is what sold me on it...1 point

Not many tyres will give good grip in first. I use nitto invo as a good compromise. But no full throttle until third gear.1 point

The check valve should really be after the can to prevent is pressurising when the manifold is not in vacuum. The whole pcv cct is for emissions not valve lubrication...burns off crank case gases rather then venting to atmosphere. Id much rather just have filters on the breathers than this sh*t in my manifold. Everything on the other side of the throttle body is clean. So all that is crap sucked in via the pcv system.1 point

If your wanting to beat every car out there on highway roll ons you need to put a huge turbo on there, to be honest there's no point racing and feeling let down if some evo is quicker, I just love driving my car without having to race anybody and its quick, but I would not reccomend gt3576r you need to put a big turbo on there that can make 500rwkw or more if you want to do highway pulls. I'd think it would be much more of a even race if you raced that car from a standstill to the speed limit. After you go more than 300rwkw your really reaching the limits of the ZF Box if you regularly drive the car under power.1 point

Latest update....... Ford Australia is paying for the parts! exchanger and g'box. I'm paying the labour & misc bits & pieces. So while I was hoping to not have to pay anything, A smallish portion of the original bill is okay. When I get it back the reliability mods will be done, Full IC piping replacement and fitting a bloody trans cooler! Cheers for your help and support guys. Hugh.1 point

Have you looked carefully at the XFT dyno graphs though? He's winding some of them up to around 6,800rpm to hit 400rwkw in the Miami's on pump 98. If everywhere else is keeping to stock rev limit then they're on par if you back calculate the power XFT are making to the stock rev limit.1 point

It will help lol My 20s rob me of around 10rwkw Joe reckons1 point

Just figured with the cost of one and still not completley eliminating the chance I thought air would be a better option and more affordable1 point

I think the PWR replacement is probably the best. I think it will operate closer to "factory" specs. I personally bought a much cheaper "oil to air" type kit for the ZF and mounted it in front of the radiator on my car using another kit which had things like "zip tie sticks". I will see if I can find links to what I used and post them later.1 point

Thanks fellows for your kind words. Come next winter, I will give that elusive 10sec a good run. If I converted to E85, it would be easy but I want to achieve it using BP98.1 point

some shops fit a controlled set of wheels and tyres when tuning, these can help with some dyno numbers coming from some shops. We have seen some cars make 400 rwkw from the GT3582 and others struggle even with all the right supporting mods, that's why we tell our customers not all cars will make 400 with the stock turbo, no matter what the internet says1 point

I'll second that! Had mine for a month, absolute treat. Keeps the quick spool but doesn't puff out near the top. 350rwkw Check out the tread in the turbo section1 point

Upgrading fronts alone is fine. Depending on which caliper you choose, make sure your wheels clear. Plenty of 18's that clear Brembo's available now. If you've just done a track day with stock brakes, your fluid will be boiled. Change it to anything with a bp over 300deg. Wet bp is important if you don't change it that often. Look at the new Shockworks 4 pot Monoblocks too.1 point

Mine pulled 398rwkw on 98 with a 3582. Didn't seem to be a large problem getting the power either.1 point

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11285496 Turns out there's some sort of connector on the back of the unit that interfaces to a connector inbeded in the dash. Needs a good wack to drive it home, plus putting the lower connectors in the correct sequence is important too1 point
