  3. Picked the car up last night after getting E85, made 474rwkw and touched up the tune on 98 which made 415rwkw. Pretty stoked about it apart from having to keep refueling out of jerry cans.

  6. Hey guys, I am not sure if the Xr's are the same as on the territorys. But when I did the wheels studs on a territory I ran into the issue of the dust plate. Instead of drilling through the dust plate, there is a section of it that has machines notch out of it. You can rotate the dust plates notch, to each of the wheel studs position and tap the wheel stud out through the gap. I will let you guys know if its the same on my xr6t ute.

  7. No mate, the old sensor is accurate, the new sensor reads lower but still consistent. New flow through sensor e-flex (always reads between 64 and 66) United E85 (always reads between 78 - 80) I have posted what Gun posted a while back but as always most guys just read the last couple of pages of a thread. If you are serious about using e-flex or E85 it would be a good idea to read the whole thread as there is some great info right from the start and covers most things you need to know about this fuel.

  11. Very good results have been seen with the 6235. Comparatively to the gtx3582 it comes on earlier and hits higher peak power, from the testing I've seen

  12. Hi Guys, Thought I would post up some pics of my G6E that I detailed over the weekend. The Car is my wife's Daily amd had copped a bit of abuse with all the rain we have had and we live at The Oaks ( near Camden) and with our roads the car was getting a bit neglected. I washed, Clayed, machine Polished and waxed it over 2 days. Used Mothers Clay kit, Menzerna Polishe's x 3 and Dodo Juice Supernatural Wax ( this stuff is amazing ) Here are the pics, first pics are before car was hand waxed, last photo is after hand wax but was dark and pics are taken on a sh*tty IPhone. Cheers Coop. After the wax. ( crappy pic due to the light )

  14. Should make 300 on those mods with a good tuner. Maybe a better intercooler. A picture of the engine bay will tell if it's a fg motor very quickly.

  15. When you say FG engine, do you mean the complete Fg engine with turbo and manifolds or FG short or long with BF turbo and manifolds?

  19. I moved on from the XR6T a couple of years ago but still have a soft spot for these amazing machines. This unit picked up in September last year replaces a 2012 Mercedes Coupe 350. 2013 Chrysler 300 SRT8, 6.4L Hemi V8. 0-100 4.4sec (timed on this one so far) 1/4 mile not tested yet.

  26. Mate it's the most underrated way of getting to your desired power. I just don't understand going a new compressor and core when your essentially only changing over the wheel. If your shooting for mid 400s the .5 will get you there. And it's a kinugawa lol

  28. there are boss 5.4's running tens after being supercharged, but that 10 grand would be consumed pretty quickly modding the 5.4 to even match the 5.0

  29. Did you read the AFF thread I linked above? The car in that thread is the fastest 5.0 in Australia. Engine, exhaust etc are all stock factory, still running factory paper air filter. This car is running a 2.6 KB kit developed in Australia for the 5.0 Miami and is making close to 600rwkw. It is also running a Circle-D converter. Tuned by XFT (forum sponsor). It ran a 10.1 last Wednesday night here is Perth, see here: If that combo was in a sedan it would have run a 9. No disrespect for any 5.4 owners, but if you are going to throw money at a car the 5.0 IMO is a much better base. You would need to spend $1000's on a 5.4 to keep up with a tune only Miami. So why the phhaarkk would you waste your time with the 5.4??

  34. Have had rumble from rear on FG XR6 Ute, brought to Pedders, they charged $28 for full driveline report which I thought was great value BUTTT this is where it gets really silly, they said it needed complete rear axle as both sides were bent at a cot of $3,200 and that was using parts from wreckers!!! they were going to do me a great favour and change out the two sides at a cost of $2,200. Cutting a long story short I bought to a place in O'Connor, final drive engineering, dropped the ute in at 8am all finished by 11am, they removed straightened replaced bearings, all up $400, running better than ever, if near Perth give these blokes a go

  38. To the people who are bagging the Force 6 and 8. Instead of shooting from the hip, just try and grasp the bigger picture: With a broke parent in the US sucking the liquidity out of local operations, FPV/Ford Australia isn't exactly flush with funds. But, for a relatively small investment they've come up with two new models which widen the appeal of the FPV range to a whole new market. That's smart thinking, smart manufacturing, smart marketing. That's the kind of smarts that will keep FPV alive and flourishing and producing the GT/P and Typhoon/Tornado cars YOU love. Secondly, my companies own a Fiesta, a Fairmont S/wagon, a Fairmont Ghia, and a Typhoon. I have a business partner who's never owned a Ford before. He drives a Zed and Merc. Until today (well, yesterday, cos its after midnight now) when he test drove a Force 6 and BOUGHT it right away 'cos it offers him the right package of prestige looks and performance. So now we have a new Ford/FPV convert (and a complete Ford stable) thanks entirely to the design smarts behind the Force 6. Third, we went for a fang round town today (yesterday), him in the Force 6, me in the Typhoon. I was able to check it out from every angle while underway on the road, and the FPV stylists have excelled themselves. The Force 6 looks like it owns the road. It is a complete, integrated Euro-lux package. Solid, posessive and balsy. The wheels in shadow chrome are amazing in rotation - a soft silver blur with the big red brembos and rotors clear as daylight behind them. I got to get the steadycam rig set up and film them, they're that lovely. The interior with the dark tones and dark woodgrain looks a lot more coherent in design terms than the Typhoon with its bits of stick-on imitation carbon fibre. The car in motion, from the rear 3/4, has the look of a big solid, purposeful European performance limo. It PROWLS! Whatever YOU think, this car is a statement in power and subtlety - because not everyone who'd got it wants to let it all hang out. In my colleague's words: "With an edit, this will be a $200,000 car for 70 grand." Finally, just 'cos YOU can't imagine a market for these cars, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. According to media reports, FPV has sold one third of the ANNUAL production of Force 6 and 8s in just ten days. TEN DAYS! So my message is, if YOU don't like 'em, just don't buy 'em. Fine! But stop bagging 'em 'cos in the bigger scheme of things, they're helping keep FPV viable, which is good for YOU.
