G'day Guys, I've had this beast for a few months now, 2011 GT / ZF / Advan RZ / H&R Springs with Bilsteins. The colour scheme is reminiscent of my old F6 but sounds a lot different ! Love the feel of the charged 8 and glad I went with the ZF (getting old)4 points

A proper 350-380 rwkw for a streeter is all you need. Anything else is overkill if you are not a racer IMO4 points

I have man legs. #Becausemanualcar. What made me happy today is OxyContin. Also surgery was a success except for when I started chewing on the pipe that was feeding me oxygen.2 points

LOLLLLL j@ I have so much sh*t goin on right now I cant keep up. About to release wall switches controllable with iphone. need to get iphone app written. thermostat is nice but does not support aus, only us and canada. not sure if worth integrating yet. my main focus is still ct metering but im going nuts plugging all sorts of sh*t in to value add. seeing your house power use sit at 50w is cool but why not turn your lights on and unlock the front door using the same platform2 points

Here are the print outs Don’t know what fuel it had in it, got them to fill the tank up before I pick it up being a car yard don’t think they would put premium in it It is an auto still pumped just got to 700km and fuel is on 14.3 L/100 im happy with that. thank you all, if it was not for this site I would not have got the xr6 turbo mic2 points

I am writing this to let members know about a very common problem that affects the Turbo Falcons. The electronic boost solenoid gets sticky after about 10,000km. I did this maintenance on my car last Saturday night after reading about it on another forum. My car felt sluggish going onto boost. While the car still pulled like a freight train, it did not come onto power like it used to, so I thought I would try out the procedure. The difference was noticeable on the Bathurst Christmas cruise as the boost came on like it used to without the lag that I was experiencing before the maintenance. Now I have tried to write this for anyone with the right tools and a very basic mechanical knowledge. If you do not feel at ease under the bonnet, you may be best to get your friendly mechanic or mate to do it. Firstly the parts: Can of WD40 or similar (I used Nulon spray) 10 and 12mm spanner Long nose pliers 10 minutes of your time. Now this work can be done with the battery installed, but is easiest if the battery is removed. 1. Open the bonnet and locate the battery and remove it using the 12mm spanner, removing both terminals and then the battery clamp. The arrow is pointing to where the boost solenoid is located 2. With the battery removed, locate the boost solenoid pic has a circle around it 3. You can either grab the hose with the long nose pliers or undo the 10mm bolt to make removing the hose easier. Once you have removed the solenoid, remove the top black hose adjacent to the plug with the long nose pliers. It is important that you do this carefully and pull the hose straight off, do not wiggle it off or you could break the plastic tube. The hose can be grabbed above the metal clamp and pulled straight off with a little force. Once the hose is removed, spray a liberal amount of lubricant (WD40) into the plastic tube and also up the rubber hose. Reverse the whole procedure and go for a drive. You should notice a significant improvement in the way your car comes on boost. This should be done every 10,000km for optimal results1 point

Used to take me 30 min to get from Clifton Springs to North Geelong (25k drive, including going through the town centre). Now it takes me 40 min to get from Point Cook to Derrimut (25k drive, 90% hwy). I preferred Geelong traffic.1 point

why does this make me happy? because its not mine. walk out into the carpark after work tonight and see a bogan with a senator trying to change his tyre. I go over to have a look, see if he needs a hand. the above is what I see. I ask him when was the last time he changed his tyres, 'I only bought the car a few months ago and they where fine then' im guessing he loves a skid1 point

you will run into many many problems. so many that it will take nearly 2 years to build it and you will give up on it time and time again.1 point

DOMS has no correlation to a good workout. Dont be discouraged if you don't feel sore after every session. You will find, you will feel sore the most, the first few weeks starting to get back in to training. If you feel you are plateauing, change your routine up, should be done every 6-8 weeks anyway.1 point

Mine runs the same time wether it's heat soaked or not... Drove in peak hr for over an hr to the track and raced after 30mins .10.45 Went 10.44 later in the night whilst the car sat for over an hr in 12c temps.1 point

25mm lowered springs with better shocks will only improve handling, obviously the ride will be firmer. Yes go much below this then you can effect geomentry of the cars suspension and potentially adversly impact handling. Then there is clearance issues, the FG has huge front overhang, so the front spoiler will be hitting things more often.1 point

hey guys well a mate of mine mark fpv posted me some footage from apsa you can see the suspension isnt transfering enough weight and bunny hoping I hope the 90/10s will fix this.1 point

I originally had a t56 manual which was great fun on the road but the clutch started slipping, I went with my dad to see al from als race glides because he had his powerglide there and we got chatting he gave me a quote and yeh he recomended a c4 over a glide because he said a 2 speed would be boring on the street so I saved my money I done 14 hour days for a month straight!! I am a allison transmission specialist so I asked al if I could spend a few weeks at his shop while the box was getting built see how he does things and all I can say is wow, top bloke he definetly has alot of patience and finesse. as for the 9 inch simple answer my eaton true trac didnt like the transbrake at all started single legging after my first launch took it back to craft they wouldnt tell me what broke stole all my fuel and said here you I couldnt even start it to get it on the trailor. 9 inch is almost a must for a transbrake there are guys out there transbraking without a 9 but long term the 9 inch will pay itself off in hard work.1 point

Hey Guys, Just got my First Drive of the new GT at peter Warren Sydney.(ZF Auto Nitro Blue) the first thing I noticed was the steering has improved and the suspension is firmer. when we finally found a back street (private Road) I opened her up it was fast but not that fast now I currently own a stock bf f6 typhoon Zf auto and to be honest the f6 still felt faster. I was very disappointed actually and now I am in two minds, do I get the fg f6 or the 335 GT. Apparenty Street Fords Magazine tested it and it punched out 350 Rwkw this car felt slower than my f6 with only 235rwkw. my mate who came with me said the same thing. it didnt even break traction. (I hammered it from every situation) whats going on ford this new off its head super car felt like a bit of a dud. not to mention how quiet and un v8 like it sounded please can some one tell me I am wrong I really wanted this car to be a hsv eating machine but I think that job is now left up to the all glorious F6. one last question does the fG F6 manual come with launch control & do the f6 manuals still get the twin plate ap racing clutch. please comments I want to be sold on either the GT or the F6 who still wears the crown Cheers Cranny1 point
