As the name suggests a cruise to the south stopping at a dam site or two. I'll update a date once we have something organised but looking at the end of September when the weather is hopefully bit move driver friendly.

manditory rules Just incase you lot forgot them....

In order for every body to have a good time, a few rules have been implemented. Failure to abide by these rules will ensure you are not invited to future events held by FordXR6Turbo.com.

The reasons for these rules are:

Safety - We don't want to put any of our members, and the general public in any danger.

Public Perception - We do not want the Ford XR6 Turbo community to face the same ridicule and stereotypes other car communities face.

The rules are simple:

Obey all laws whilst on the cruise; this means no speeding, no overtaking over double lines etc... Any breaches will be reported to the local police.

There is a designated cruise leader who will lead the way and set the correct pace for all cruise members.

Use the Buddy system; always make sure you can see the car behind you. This will give people behind you an indication on where to turn and to make sure nobody gets lost or left behind.

CB Radios; if you don't have one, follow the maps and directions given out. If you do have one, please limit chatter during the twisty parts of the cruise. This will allow the cruise leader to relay information about road conditions, upcoming obstacles, etc. efficiently.

By attending this cruise you agree not to hold FordXR6Turbo.com, its Administrators, Moderators, Cruise Organisers, or Owners responsible/liable for any damage and/or grief sustained (simply; if you stuff up it's your fault, not ours).

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask before the cruise.

.

Ok guys, im unsure what day but here are the basics. If it doesnt suit you, I couldn't care less.

-Open to performance fords only or members of this forum.

-The map is about 250kms long. If that's too long, may I suggest you lap the coast instead :)

-Not many BP's around.

-It goes well out of Perth

-Country roads, some boring highway stretches and some country backroads. This means trees, no traffic light gps etc, roads that might not be so well signposted etc. Corners arent particular sharp like they are around the northern hills. If driving fast (say 110kms which is the legal limit) worries you, probably stay in bed

-Its going to be an early leave. 8 or 9am type things. If you have plans for the night before or if its too early I dont care.

-Will leave gateways, so a nice dirty SOR cruise :P

-Fewer cars the better! Less attention and all that

-Long stretches where you can actually blow a few cobwebs out of the car.

-Not really a cruise where you hang around meetpoints for half an hour. Perhaps a bit of a play every so often and stop somewhere scenic for lunch about 11.

-I cant take photo's but im sure some of you might be able to get some decent shots / video

If we are having a bbq, it'll be BYO only. I'm not your mum who will cater for those who say they will come and dont and vice versa. Simple really. if you want something to eat or drink, secure an esky in the back and away you go

Ohh yeh, most of the roads are sealed but there is a section of gravel road (pretty compacted) that is about 3 car widths wide and less than 1km long. If that's also a concern, I must stress it will be better to stay at home.

And also if you drive like a tool, you'll be pushed over a dam wall ;). Tailgating to keep up through the windy stretches is dangerous and could potentially cause a bad accident and no one wants that!

wow Mat you sure do know how to sell a cruise buddy

I dont want to sell it!

Its certainly not a cruise that appeals to most people but if you want to enjoy your car (legally of course), some of these roads offer that.
