Hi Guys, Ive got a PDR tech coming over on friday arvo to inspect and remove a couple of minor (5 cent peice sized dings.

will take before and after pics to show the result for those interested.

For those that dont know, Paintless Dent Removal is the art of gently massaging the inner side of the panel to remove the dent using specialty tools. Much cheaper than visiting a panel shop which usually requires a respray of the affected panel, and if you have metallic paint like me, hard to get it looking just right.

will post a report once done.

Hey XF, Steve (XXXR6T) got a few doctored up on his and was quite happy with the results. I don't remember who did it though. Drop him a PM if you're interested to get yours done.

The spray shops say they respray the panels but they just bring in the dent pushers. Dent pushers will get about $1500 for their work and the panel shop will charge you $3000 for nothing

I used the Dent Surgeon in Brisbane about 3.5 years ago now on my ute tailgate.

Ford employees had to push the car as the tps was stuffed at the time and I didn't notice the palm sized dent in the back as the ute was washed and still wet.

With 30mins work he got it out, I couldn't see any imperfections afterwards and was charged about $80 from memory which I thought was cheap as you could see the dent from a mile away!

They work there magic and you will be surprised.

Yeah, I've had it done on previous cars - mainly to remove carpark type dints. The whole family and a lot of friends have had it done also.

The place I used, utilised a sliding scale to charge per dint - more dints, less $/dint. Was very happy with the result - lucky I haven't had to use him for the T.

He is coming over tonight after work to inspect, and to make sure he has adequate access to the rear of each dint (bonnet has structural ribs etc which make it difficult sometimes.

anyways I will take pics before and after.

For anyone who is curious, have a look on Youtube - search PDR or paintless dent removal, you'd be suprised at the size of some dints that can be removed without a trace.
