I have been surfing the big wide web we all have access to and happen to find this little setup, yes I might have to get it from woop woop but worth the try and a saving of $200+.

I am looking at doing the setup with a 1/2 din DVD player with only the 3 rca outputs (RED, WHITE & YELLOW) The audio side was never a drama because of the AUX we have as Std but the video to RGB has been the problem and not wanting to put a huge 240v STB & DVD player in the car this certainly helps.

Have a look guys and I am awaiting a reply from them to see if they can ship to AUS

Well after a 7 days I got my new Video to RGB converter in the post and what can I say, I works absolutly perfect. All you need is the Ford plug to wire it up and look smick and a little black component box from the local Dick Smith store and a 12v ingition power source and it's all go.

Sp what next? I'm going to get a 1/2 din DVD player from the states and put that exactly where the tissue box is and have is looking good.

Will box up some pic's when completed.

Total cost was $84 Euro which was about $120 and it comes with the power plug so you can put the lighter plug on it and the plug for the RGB, neg + sinc. I got it in 10 days including the weekend.

that's awsome this could make my digital guages and logging system viable with a cheap way of displaying on the screen.

All I need to find now is a cheap CAN adaptor

Any WA guys wanna share some development costs on this system?

Imagine digital read out of any engine stats on your icc screen(or external screen if wanted) as well as any other apps you want.

Well after a bit I finally got it working, because I didn't want to stuff arround and fit a single din dvd player, I am now using the new faithful 80gb Ipod with video output into rca lead to the rca - rgb converter and the aux audio.

Works a treat :) I am converting the movies I want on the Ipod with dvdxsoft to ipod convertor at the screen / pixels of 640 x 480.

The quickest easiest way I have found to do something :) stoaked
