I'm pretty sure SWMBO and I will be departing Melbourne arriving Devonport, then on the return trip departing Devonport arriving Sydney.

I don't mind the drive (so much) from Sydney to Melbourne, but I hate the drive from Melbourne to Sydney on the return leg.

It would be preferrable if we (whose participating) could decide on one route to Devonport. The return trip is not so important from an organisation aspect.

... let the fireworks begin ...

Driving down to Melbourne is good at the start, but the trek back is a killer... literally ("wake up mother!!!")

I didn't vote. Only because it doesn't worry me which way we go. You could probably say that I'm easy but after reading the title "Your preferred passage " that wouldn't be such a good idea.
