There are 2 aspects to this:1. As you go both a physically larger IC (fronton) you impede air flow to the radiator2. As you go wider you have less air gap between the IC and the radiator, there is less opportunity for air to cool the raditor.Just because it works well in the middle of a Victorian winter at night in a drag application you cannot conclude that it would work well in a Queensland summer day for street use. You may find that you need a larger radiator as well.If you do run your water temps hotter it can somewhat negate the effects of having a better intercooler.Brian
Guest xrtwpn Guests Posted 05/08/05 08:30 AM Share Posted 05/08/05 08:30 AM Brain You may be right like, but I raced at heathcote during a warm day all day with 8 runs in a row and it didnt get hot at allIf you really want to test it ship my car to QLD and im willing to bet it will run 10.2 - 10.3 all day there in what ever weatherI think this cooler has proved itselfs on the track and on the street enoughRajab use the same core on there drag cars and my street vl turbos and all these people will tell you the same thingsSo why dont you just leave this so the people of the forum can decide what they want to do

Not everyone is intent on drag racing to the extent that you are pursuing. That it may work well, as you claim, in a VL commodore, is irrelevant to this discussion.Like many other products on the market, this may work well too.My intent was not to start an argument, although you have reacted in a very defensive manner. Why don't you post for us the dimensions of IC, as people will want to know that.Your reference to Nizpro in your post will be removed, as it is unwarranted.Brian
