Gday guys, I finally let my paranoia(spelling) get the best of me and took the T to the dealers for its complimentry service even though it has only done around 1500 kms, but mainly because it was using oil and spitting alot of black crap out the back and blowing a bit of black smoke.

After having a look around and calling Ford the symptoms point towards a fuel issue but the problem is no codes are coming up and the regulator is fine, so they're pulling out there hair trying to figure out where the problem lies.

The plugs are fouling up and they changed the cat because the original one was saturated in fuel, they've even changed the computer and still no luck.

What are your opinions??

my opinion is... that's not good!... but on second thoughts it sounds like they are going to do their best to get it fixed so just hold onto your nuts in the meantime.. (unfortunately) :spoton:

Maybe one of your sensors is sending the wrong info to the computer. I had an oxygen sensor go once (EA Falcon) and it made the car run rich, although Ford picked it up pretty easy.

Hopefully they find it soon

Regards

Gary
