Hi all , just wondering if anyone has ever force fed their in dash Cd player and had it stuff up on them . I didnt realise I had to press load and actually wait for it to be ready to accept it , I just sort of rammed it in :spoton:

If long nose pliers cannot get it, take it to Ford. The ICC is not user servicable

I had a similar problem when I had my brothers ute for a while... it was sitting ther for about 2 minutes trying to push a cd in, and then I seen the load button, lucky I didnt ram it in there cause I woulda then been in the same pradicament as you...

they will take the 6 stacker out of your car and it should get done on warranty, it gets sent away and all the cd's are taken out of it and then they ship the cd's and the stacker back to you... so it might be a week till you get it back

I too nearly performed this trick. In my Futura, you simply shove in the CD because it is single load....but as I found out in the Turbo, it needs a little more thought. I even stooped as low as reading the user manual when the first CD didn't want to go in.

( I was just about to call the salesperson back out of the showroom to complain about the faulty unit.....glad I didn't ).

I took it to the dealer this morning , seems they just replace the whole unit from what I understand , they sure dont muck around ! Seems pointless as I'm pretty sure once they take the unit out , getting the cd out would be no more than a pair of tweezers away .

Lucky it was only a backup CD so I dont really care if it gets wrecked .

Ford service deparments ARE NOT ALLOWED to touch the stereo units. So your CDs will still be stuck in the unit when it gets shipped to Melbourne! Once the vendor cracks it open, then they should package up your CDs and send them back to your dealer.

Been lots of threads on here about how "stupid" this is..... :spit:

Pops....I think you have incorrectly taken offence at what Lord Cyric wrote.

I believe he is saying how "stupid" the turn-around of the CD Unit is via the Ford network.....I don't believe he is having a go at you.

However....you may have now given him just cause.
