Well that's our 911 Martini racing Racing Replica

Used to run ELF racing fuel as with the WRX rally car

it used to be fuel injected, but had to put original carbys back on to run it in classic and targa this year

did the clutch and carbs cost like 5000 for original carbs- but they look SEX and due to elf being $7 per litre we decided to give E85 a go.

Keeping in mind the budget atm is tight dude to having to rebiulkd the evo 7 engine cause an injector failed on race day and blew up! 7Grand rebiuld

The WRX had new front panels and skirts and for the first event of the season and an off camber corner claimed the ally bonet, bumper and left hand gaurd, 3500 AGAIN

Posem Bourn rebiult that motor 2 months ago and was like 9000

and every rally claims 150 liters of EFl....... U can c where im going with this............

Anyways. E85 in and tuned up on the dyno, good power etc and sounds like a fuking Ferarri at 9 Grand- SEXUAL

leave it over the weekend, come in monday and wont start, electric fuel pump crapped itself!

on further inspection of the internnals the impella is MELTED! ok watever new pump!

car goes to hill climb, after first stage she is running sh*t as.

by the end its running on lik 2 out of 6 lol

get it back to the shop, connect fuel pressure gauge and check, with in 10 secs fuel is pissing from the fuel pressure gauge. the sight glass has MELTED away.

So this E85 is sh*t.

well it gets worse, compression test prior to event showed 225psi on all 6

I do a Comp Test and 220 on 1 cyl and the rest aroun 80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wet test is the same, cylinder leakage test shows bad bad valve probs on 5 cyls!

no now its engine rebiuld tomorrow rip her out!

so if u add up the bill id suspect its a dam side cheaper to buy extra elf that to replace fuel pumps, gauges and engines every event LOL

who said motor sport was cheap! makes u wonder how often the v8's r having trouble with it! although they would never say!
