Its clear that some of us like to use them, and some of us think they are for wankers. It is also pretty clear that the use is illegal.

No point going round and round now.

Herald Sun, 29/4/08, P.74

Changes to road rules

- New fog light laws -

Under a new law, front & rear fog lights can only be used in fog or other hazardous weather conditions. Previously this law only applied to rear fog lights. Fog lamps turned on when there is no fog can cause glare, affecting other road users' ability to see & drive safely. This law is also effective (there was mention of another law about trying to get through level crossings...) from 16 April 2008

Thoughts?

My thoughts are... nicely hidden in the "public notice" section of the classifieds mr.plod!

Edit: spelling

Would this affect us T owners? My understanding was that there was a difference between fog lights and driving lights. Either way my excuse is that dark is a hazardous condition :P

Has been in for years in NSW.

Was bought about in the early 90s thanks to the Suzuki Swift GTi drovers who continuously drove around with them on. People also often refered to fog lights as 'wa*ker Lights' fir the same reason.
