My ute is almost 4 and a half years old and it's had the handbrake adjusted once when it was new and never needed it since.

Get it done properly and there's no dramas with it. The problems only start when it's not done correctly, and yes, alot of dealers don't know how to do it properly either.

You dont know if you dont ask... D!CKHEAD.

As you could have it tight so when your doing it up you would feel the tention, or do it the other way. that's why I asked..

Well my car has been in 5 times now over 2 months and 2 different dealers and is about to go in again, first 5 times was to tighten it which would only last after a few pulls and on the fifth time they got it right so I thought. now it has to go back in because the handbrake now works but now I have like a whine sound after every revolution at low speeds, plus I have always had the woosh sound.

anybody know what I can tell ford as it has all benn covered under warranty but im kinda of sick of taking it to them for a handbrake issue

he does bite good dags, for someone who always "jokes" don't take it too seriously YPURV4, is just that if the handbrake is on when its too loose, you'll tighten the cable and the next time you put it on it may snap, and if you use your brain sometimes you don't have to ask....:spoton:
