BRING:

Optional UHF 40 channel CB Radio to keep across road hazards and general chatter. I had 2 for loan but they're both reserved now. *NOTE* However, if anyone has a spare CB nbtopstars_XR6 would like to borrow it for the cruise.

Camera for the photo opps and the views.

Warm clothes.

Also, if you are interested, EvilDaifu will have be bringing along 1 original white 24cm site stickers for purchase at $10 each (so you don't have to buy them directly from MissXR - they're the same ones though - which saves you postage and handling costs). Just PM EvilDaifu if you would like to reserve one for yourself (already reserved 2 for others coming on the cruise which leaves 1 left still available). Check out what they look like here.

RULES:

1. Obey all laws whilst on the cruise; this means no speeding, no overtaking over double lines (no matter how safe you think it may be), etc...

2. There is a designated cruise leader who will lead the way and set the correct pace for all cruise members.

3. Use the Buddy system; always make sure you can see the car behind you. This will give people behind you an indication on where to turn to make sure nobody gets lost.

4. CB Radio’s; if you don’t have one, follow the maps and directions given out. It is highly recommended to have CB as it enhances the enjoyment of the cruise being able to hear about road hazards and join in on the social chatter.

5. Please turn up to the meeting points with a sufficient fuel in your tank and enough time before the departure time.

6. During the cruise, please have head-lights on normal beam. It is up to individuals if fog lights are on, but be mindful that in some States, it is illegal to have fog lights on in most situations.

7. The Cruise Controller attending the cruise has the final say on the cruise route.

8. By attending this cruise you agree not to hold FordXR6Turbo.com, it’s Administrators, Moderators, Cruise Controllers, or Owner responsible/liable for any damage and/or grief sustained (simply; you are responsible for your own actions).

Hi Guys,

I will be bringing along some official "FordXR6Turbo.com" site stickers.

sticker.jpg

They are exactly the same ones available from MissXR who is in-charge of merchandising. I'm doing this as a not-for-profit service as when I've been on cruises, I'd often wished I could've bought site merchandise on the cruise.

Here is the official link to MissXR's post for the stickers if you want to buy them from her by mail (if I've run out of them).

And here's a link showing what the stickers look like on other forum member's cars.

The official site stickers are the white "FordXR6Turbo.com" rear window ones (24cm long x 3cm high) and I will have them for sale for $10 each (which is the same price that MissXR sells them but with the added benefit that purchasers won't have to pay for postage and handling).

Instructions to apply stickers (according to MissXR and EvilDaifu):

1. Clean the surface that you want to place the sticker on. I washed and then used metho on the glass to make sure it was free of any grease and muck. Make sure its dry after you have cleaned it.

2. Pull the backing off the sticker (leave the front masking tape on).

3. Place the sticker on the glass and rub the sticker down onto the glass. The middle of the sticker is about between the 6 and T in FordXR6Turbo.com. I used a fluffy mitten to put even pressure over the top of the sticker to ensure the letters stuck to the glass. NB. Use the bottom of the lettering as your guide for making sure the sticker is level. The actual tape that the sticker is on is not level with the lettering (though it almost is).

4. Slowly take off the front masking tape. I think it's best to peel from the top right corner as the letters slant forwards so there is less chance of lifting up any letters accidently.

5. From an aesthetics point of view, black background against the white lettering of the sticker looks great and possible places for that on your front or rear windows is at the very top. Like so.

Please see the first post for number of stickers still in-stock with me. Just PM me if you would like to reserve one to be picked up on the cruise.

Kind Regards,

EvilDaifu

http://www.whereis.com/

Although it's easy enough to find it's the servo just at the foot of the West Gate Bridge as you travel along the freeway towards Geelong you'd have to be a blindman to miss it. :spoton:

Dagabond down as a maybe, mightbe, couldbe... :spoton:

If I go I'll wait at the Deer Park overpass for ya's to stream past, no point going in to come back out again. :spoton:

Hey boys...

Can't make this cruise... it's my best mates birthday the night before and I cannot guarantee that I'll be in any shape to be speaking to anyone on the following day, let alone driving...

Sorry boys... hope it's a great cruise :spoton:

Jack :spoton:
