I spent all Friday at Nizpro to review the current project staus.... and we're almost there!

New suspension has been fitted:

I include some pics.

This is a fully adjustable Koni 8211 suspension.

There is separate bump and rebound adjustment.

Front and rear are height adjustable.

Rear spring has around double the stock spring rate

Still feel OK on the road.

Nizpro have made a special mod so that the rear is height adjustable, and very easy to adjust the ride height (as you can see).

Here are the rear Konis.

</div></div>

Here are the front coilovers:

Here's another picture, showing the new Pirelli 285/35-19 rubber. These are huge, compared with the previous 275/30-19.

I also bought new 10" rims, as the tyres would not go on a 9.5" rim.

Simon acquired a guard rolling machine, and it's a very close fit.

There are still a few engine management issues to resolve, primarily idle control that the Motec is struggling with a bit. Simon is going to test out running Motec+Edit to see if can resolve the issue.

It was great to see the car again.

mate I enjoyed seeing your car and its not even mine... any pics of the outside of the wheels ??????

Simon checking camber & caster with a very neat tool.

What I did like was that the springs can be removed in a minute, then the car dropped to the bump stops to see that the tyres don't hit the guards. Currently I have around 2 degrees negative at the rear.

Sorry no other pics of the outside of the car.

Nice one mate... Looking excellent.

Congratulations on pushing the boundries with your car and also the same to geea and xrtwpn and cars of similar ilk. It provides the path for all else to follow. Can't wait to see it in the flesh... brilliant.

Well done!!

Looks like the driveshaft/CV issue has had some attention as well eh Brian?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yes. However after reviewing the situation again, and each of the individual compenents making up the inner CV, we decided a stronger version again will be built in February next year.

Part of the problem is that I'm going to far wider & sticker tyres, and 5% lower gearing, that'll put yet more stress on the drivetrain components.

I've also asked for a more aggressive tune.

I have some pics of of inner CV, which I'll post later, to show people just what explodes when they go.

I stopped past Nizpro on my way back to Perth from PI and saw your car Brian.

Nice setup, very good to see what the brakes looked like. Those rear tyres you have a huge, I'll be sticking with the 275/30/19's when mine arrive.

Your car sounds like it goes like a rocket from what Dave said yesterday. Good stuff.
