Ok.. being sick of only seeing 11.5psi top rpm commanding 100% duty cycle, I finally got myself motivated to fit my actuator... But I was not going to fit it without upgrading the wastegate flapper valve.

Here are some pics

Johnny is a Dentist, we cannot show you his face..

who needs heat sheilds anyways.. And yes. the front heat sheild "falls off easy" if you know how

OMFG SOMEONE STOLE MY TURBO

DSCF1132.JPG

Oh no. there it is. it just fell on the ground

Shiney new exhaust housing modified with bigger wastegate port and flapper. Thanks to mark for supplying me with this in order to "exchange housing" without having my car off the road whilst my housing gets modified

Here is the std wastegate flapper vz the upgraded wastegate flapper. Like my hairy legs?

DSCF1139.JPG

A view with the flaps open.. Notice the size in the port. Hrm.. Maybe I should shave my legs?

12psi actuator.. Pfft with a 8psi. Only people who sit while they pee get a 8psi actuator :>

Ohh look brand new again

<moves hand and wrist backwards and forwards> "Full Clean Ups" with 15psi boost

DSCF1158.JPG

Saturday, 40degree day.. NO PROBLEMS THANKS TO MR COOLER.. Filled with ice, door shut, and rollerdoor pulled down behind bonnet.. Notice no sweatie pits? It was very cool actually !!

DSCF1159.JPG

Hey Jimmy, What ya think about the xr6 Turbo?? Top Bloke.. Hows your sister doing?

DSCF1161.JPG

I said nothing about your sister... Dont bash me!!

DSCF1162.JPG

In Conclusion.. After fitting the turbo back.. starting it up, filling the coolant back up again, I reprogrammed the duty table, and after datalogging found myself having duty cycle around .45 at 3500rpm and slightly tapering upto .55duty at 5500rpm to get to my desired 14psi.

Boost is rock solid, I'm using the PI controller built into the PCM to bring it close to my desired boost of 14psi, there is no overboost past 14psi as it comes on boost.

Sure. Maybe techno talk. But alot of tuners do not tune this way using the PI controller.. They tune via duty cycle only, No Closed loop control.. So higher boost cold nights, less boost on hot days like today.. No feedback what so ever..

AFR's are around 12.2, and until I hit the dyno next week, I will fine tune it to 15-16psi, and give it some more spark up top and see what rwkw it produces.

I have to say a big thanks to Johnny (HINRG), Jimmy (ForcedXR6) for helping out on such a hot day and Mark (FSIX) for supplying me with a exhaust housing I can modify without removing mine
