  2. Hi, just wondering if I can do a high mount turbo with aftermarket headers with the stock turbo exhaust? is there any downsides? does it need a new. Kind of new to all this so not sure how it works lol, any help would be great. cheers

More likely to be wheel bearing if it goes away while turning a specific direction and gets worse if you turn the other direction (the one going that "worse" direction is which side is probably going out, but always best to replace both sides when one is going bad). I doubt it would go away when turning if it's the driveshaft... Best to get it diagnosed while on a dyno, I think...
  10. Hello have had a few dramas with an fg ute. 1st question should I have weights on the tailshaft as there is none? have had centre bearing replaced and diff has had new bearings. Have some humming or vibration sound coming from rear. Does stop when turning, would this be a wheel bearing or could it still be driveshaft? thanks

    Tail shaft stuck

    well... that's just hard to imagine, because both ends of the tailshaft are very different... As they say, if it's stuck, you're not using enough brute force... a sledgehammer and a bunch of room to swing it is probably what you need...

Hey guys, Yes I am a chick that drives a mean 09 g6et poor ol girl has over 300km still runs like a dream But the running gear is a different story ๐Ÿ˜• My Dad (retired mechanic) just put all new bushes/rubbers in the arse end Putting tailshaft back in n he put the wrong end in first, now it's apparently stuck and can't get it out! Please help any suggestions would be appreciated! ๐Ÿ™

  15. The small piece rattling around was a small steel cross like part. Tried to upload a picture but keep getting errors. Shifter does not โ€˜lockโ€™ into drive now. Can just push it up into park and down to drive with no safety lock now. Damn shifter is over engineered imo. Thanks for the links. Iโ€™ll keep looking.

  18. Awesome bit of info on here thanks garyk, had exactly the same thing happen to my 2009 FG XR6, tried a spare G6ET cluster in it and it stopped. I know this was an old post but I think it is good to give feedback on fixes like this that can save a heck of a lot of mucking around chasing the wrong symptoms and this is what these sites are so useful for.   27. does indicate something either weird in the tune or an electrical gremlin relating to the ignition/coils system... I'd be looking to get a auto-elec involved... Definitely strange...
  28. made it into the gym late last night, eased my way back in to all workouts and got through unscathed although my body is quite achy this morning haha so probably went a touch early in the tail of this illness.
