  1. Past hour
  2. I'm not selling the 4 post. Will order a 2 post when it's time.
  3. Today
  4. I see.. so selling the 4post to get a 2post when?
  5. Not enough room. I have 3 X 5 metre bays. Dyno has one, 2 post will have another, I'm thinking I'll use the other for gym equipment/more room for other sh*t.
  6. I have a 4 post hoist here, I'd rather have a 2 post hoist. 4 post will just piss me off.
  7. I thought you said you already had a hoist...
  8. I haven't ordered a 2 post hoist yet, I suppose that's the hold up.
  9. surely there's some sort of road block, knowing you you'd have been getting out the mag-drill and going hard on day 1 to get the hoist up and going
  10. Everything is ready to go
  11. how long do you have to wait before drilling the mounts for the hoist setup?
  12. Replaced engine mounts in the Caprice today, one leaked all over me. I'll be happy when I've got a hoist set up. Being under cover is great but lying on the ground still sucks.
  13. and the world thanks you for that (the quality work bit)
  14. morning all, happy Friday (and public holiday, if you have one ) 🛄
  15. Yesterday
  16. I'm not about where I am, rather who I am. I don't associate where I live to the quality of work I do.
  17. it's OK to be bogan out there in country SA, I would have thought
  18. Cheers man, gitten there gitten there. Some quality ear protection is definitely on the cards. I'm not the kind of person to lose their hearing over work related stuff. I have some exhaust extraction stuff and will need to adapt it to my situation. It'll be easy enough, I've done sheet metal work back in the day. It'll either go out the back wall or up and over the whole lot. Speaking of which, I think I'll protect the back wall with some sheet metal, give me an excuse to buy a rivet gun, air powered or otherwise. There's plenty of dyno cell pics to get inspiration from. I'm looking forward to using the dyno in the shed, it's pretty bogan having it in the driveway and I prefer some privacy lol.
  19. I had the same issue with my FG and found it was the alternator. At idle it would drop down into the 11volt range. New alternator and all good. My mate with a 2011 XR6T had the same issue. His alternator was fine but the ECU voltage would tank at idle into the 11volt range, He had a underdrive kit on his so he purchased a smaller pulley for the Alternator and voltage never dropped below 13.5v. No more idle problems!
  20. Last week
  21. morning all, happy Thursday 🛃
  22. proud to be a filthy animal looking excellent bro! I was kinda shocked how much my garage/shed echoed until I put all my stuff in it, now it hardly does... I'm sure yours will be similar, but the biggest problem you'll have is how loud the cars are, I'm sure... ear-muffs will be the go
  23. Here's a pic ya filthy animals
  24. Finished moving everything in there today, got the dyno in place although I think I'll move it over a little bit. You wouldn't think moving a dyno 30 metres would take much, but it was a bit of a mission. Will get to setting it up properly next week when my extension cord arrives. Ha it'll be interesting to see how loud it is, the shed already echos pretty good.
  25. morning all, happy Wednesday 🛂
  26. Decided to move the dyno to the shed today...wishing that I had bought that forklift a few months ago. Haven't got it set up yet but will have it on the ground tomorrow with the fan and computer bit along side. Also ordered parts for an extension cord for it, $380 later lol, anyway here's a pic or 3
  27. morning all, happy Tuesday 🚾
  28. Sounds like a failing trans solenoid.
