I have bought a ba egas motor to turbo and swap into a au. I am 17 and do not have a sizeable budget. I am not keen at spending big dollars on aftermarket performance cams when making my target ~500rwkw does not require this. However from my understanding BA egas and BA N/A cams have less intake duration than turbo and bf-fgx na/ecolpi/turbo cams. Therefore I am curious weather I would gain power from switching my BA egas cams to FG N/A cams or would this be a superfluous exercise. Please tell me if I'm being retarded, and thanks for your time to read my post 😀.
Replaced thermostat, used coolant flush juice to dissolve oil and crap in the cooling system, flushed that sh*t out, replaced with coolant, car still sits at same temp lol. Adjusted timing to sensible levels, will dyno and adjust tomorrow to see what gains can be made.
Who needs sub forums anyway?!
Had dinner, went out and finished it off. No leaks, runs fine, didn't overheat although I think it needs a new thermostat.
First job in the shed too and didn't get even a little bit sunburnt.
Happy days 😎
