well if I buy lollies, and I dont open them , they are unopened... if I eat one, they are opened... :idunno:

on a serious note though, unopened generally means stock internals, pistons, rods, e.t.c I think valve springs are acceptable... that's my take anyways...

when nizpro were building their ba xr6t in performance ford mag, they purchased and f6 motor, fully stripped it and rebuilt it to exact tolerances... and classified that as "un-opened."

valve springs, that's it imho.

open a tin of tuna, take some out, stuff it with some john west and pass it off as home brand which just tastes good.

than someone goes buys homebrand on your recommendation and it tastes sh*t

that's my take.

IMO unopened should actually be exactly what its called..

dont know how people say " unopened, cam only " because you CLEARLY need to open it to put cams in

same thing for valve springs

Ill through a spanner in the works, what about in my situation where ive put a standed f6 block in my BA, is my car still un-opened then...

I doubt it, because I bet if I run a 10.6 or something and tried to say quickest un-opend people would rag up about my f6 block.

I always thought unopened was never had the head pulled off - cos usually when ya open an engine to have a look ya pull the head off
